Professor Toben Nelson from the University of Minnesota studies how to prevent harm, injury and violence associated with alcohol using policies and community-level strategies to tackle the source of these problems. He’ll be discussing what the latest research says are the most effective ways to reduce alcohol-related issues and how the ZIP code of where you live is a factor in the amount of alcohol harm a family may experience.

Professor Nelson holds a Doctor of Science in public health from Harvard University. He has researched various alcohol-related topics such as the effects of policies on impaired driving and community prevention strategies.
