Free BUDI Testing Kits & Drink Lids

In accordance with AB 1013 & AB 2375 BUDI has partnered with Think Twice in order to get BUDI-branded Testing Kits and Drink Libs! If you would like to get a custom BUDI Drink Lid or Testing Kit, you can contact us to find out where we will be tabling or where our next event will be held.

AB 1013

Any establishment in California with Type 48 (On-Sale) licenses is required to:

  • Provide drug testing kits for free or at a reasonable cost.
  • Post signage notifying patrons of available testing kits and lids in a visible location.

AB 2375 (Effective July 1, 2025)

Any establishment in California with Type 48 (On-Sale) licenses is required to:

  • Provide a lid (a removable cover of any size that attaches to the rim of a beverage) with a customer’s drink upon their request.
  • Update signage mandated by last year AB 1013 (Lowenthal) to also reference lids.

What signage is required?

Previous signage from AB 1013 must be updated to also reference lids. Signage must be in a prominent and conspicuous location and read verbatim: “Don’t get roofied! Drink lids and drink spiking drug test kits are available here. Ask a staff member for details.”
